PBO Rollers
When the aluminum profile comes out of the extrusion press, the temperature is approximately 550 °C (1022°F). Graphite was thought to be the only product available to withstand the high temperatures of the extrusion profile. A new high–tech fiber, PBO, is now incorporated into our high temp roller sleeves. The needle-punched roller combines PBO and KEVLAR® layers that are the ideal product to use for the initial extrusion area and run-out table. It is the density of the PBO material within the roller sleeve that dictates its service life rather than the thickness. The high density PBO layer enables the roller to work continuously at temperatures of 550 °C (1022 °F), and at the same time to withstand the abrasion from different shapes of the profile.

Kevlar® - KR Rollers
The temperature of the profile will lower to 450 ºC (840 °F) when it is about 10 meters down the run-out table. At this stage, the best material for the run-out table is 100% Kevlar®. Our KR roller is produced with DuPont KEVLAR® fiber, which can resist temperatures of 500 ºC (930 °F). A high density is the key factor for good abrasion resistance and our standard is 400 g/m2 .mm. i.e. for 10mm rollers the weight per m2 is 4000g/m2. In addition a resin treatment is available on request for better abrasion resistance and longe.
